How the Blockchain can be used by issuers, account keepers and investors to issue, keep and hold transferable securities. The course analyses the Luxembourg and EU legal framework applicable to the issuance of transferable securities to determine how Blockchain can be leveraged by such market players. The course will also analyse the different structuration options to issuing a transferable security using the Blockchain.

Objective
To teach the general public and market players how the Blockchain can be leveraged for capital markets issuances.
Learning Outcomes
Enabling issuers, investors and market operators to use Blockchain to lead to more efficiency in the capital markets. Students would learn: what are (i) a Blockchain and (ii) Tokenisation; how to structure a DLT bond issuance; what is the legal framework underpinning such issuances.
